would like to know if stores will take in a old wedding micro pave band for a trade in for a new band? and how much of a value do u get?

Yes, some do, but not all. Some do it based on the diamond weight, others may calculate value by the scrap gold weight. Your best bet is to speak with the jeweler you're thinking about working with, and discussing it with them, imho.

Just be direct. Ask if they accept trade-ins. If they do, show them what you want to trade and they'll tell you what they'll give you for it (if they can sell it, it's usually a bit less than half of what you paid, approximately...if they can't sell it, it's only worth it's weight in gold, which probably isn't worth it, unless you really don't like the piece)....
