I seriously want him. But I already have 2 large dogs. And 3 kids. And a messy husband. I may just be Covid-depressed but he's just about the cutest thing I've seen.

Australian Shepherds are so smart. I live in a rural area and in the 90's had the pleasure of living on a winding back road that had a split farmland. The elderly farmer would walk across the road with his working Australian Shepard and that dog would get all the cows and bring them in for milking. Just a few shrill whistles and hand movements and that dog would fly this way and that all over the fields. He was very much part of the farmer and you could tell he was happy to do his job. I never got tired of being "captured" during a dairy farm road crossing.
They are exceptionally smart dogs in general and may herd your children
but I'll be your voice of reason. I'm a solid maybe. You have 2 dogs, they can teach the little one to be a dog. your messy household...can't help you there...lol but it will be full of puppy messiness and bite marks and everything else puppies do.
Then there's puppy energy. Personally as much as I think puppies are cute, I can't handle puppy energy. especially not the kind of puppy I want(freaking land sharks they are!)
The next is, are your dogs gonna be ok with the addition? Its an upheaval to them too. (I gotta stand up for the dogs man!) Lucky (my dog) has indicated she's not willing to share her home with another dog. I try but no dice! She's very sweet loves humans (except really small noisy ones, she will hide!) but is definitely a dominant dog, and does not want another in her house (though in the yard its OK)...his sister's dog came over as an overnight guest (and they know each other very well) but wow... never seen her act out like that before with another dog in the home. She's different with small puppies versus a full sized dog (which I don't get but hey....)
