I sort of like baguettes but don''t really have any. Just wondering - do baguettes give colored light or just white?

Thanks.

most of the ones iv seen are very bady cut and the answer is really neither,,, they are just kinda there....
mostly fire if anything is the answer however.

I love baguettes as side stones, but have to agree with Storm that they''re mostly just there with the odd flash of fire.

My crisscut baguettes mostly sparkle and glitter but in the sun they do give off colors. Not like an RB of course.

Yes, they absolutely give off fire if they're well cut. I consider any cut the same way I'd consider a center stone - they all have to WOW me in order to reside on my finger! I have double bags on each side of my ering and they have very nice fire. In conditions where my center stone is giving off fire bursts, so are my baguettes.

Just dont settle for poorly cut ones is my advice.

I agree. If they are poorly cut...eh not so much. Mine give off quite a bit of fire.

Here is a pic of the fire coming off of one of my tapered baguettes.

A nicely cut Baguette will give the same appearance as any step-cut type Diamond....

It should looks similar to an Asscher-Cut or Emerald Cut with the only difference being no corner breaks or pavilion corner facets.
When cut correctly..., its an amazing cut...., I personally prefer a Baguette over an Emerald Cut!

See my example on Calibre-Cut Baguettes:

Those look nice but they are very far from typical of whats out there.
How hard are they for a vendor to hunt down at that quality level?

Just a phone call away...

But they are MUCH pricier than the ones you describe as "...most of the ones iv seen are very badly cut..."

You know the saying..., you get what you pay for....

With Baguettes..., the price difference could be a HUGE difference!

SDeriously - where can I get my hot little hands on some of those?? I''d LOVE an eternity band full! They''re so classy and elegant!!

They are lovely but square. I think I like the rectangle shape. Do they come in the rectangle shape?

Do tell where you got them, if you would, please.

Tapered baguettes have plenty of life and fire.

Sure...

I am sure any serious vendor you choose to work with has ways of getting long Baguettes..., just make sure they are cut nicely and uniformed.
