DIY: Hanging Crystal snowflake "crystal" filled cake stand

If a bride needs one of these please let me know and I can make you the one extra that I have. The extra one is 12" top with an 8" base.

Here is my cake stand. I couldn't find one that made me happy so my SO and I made this one. I found the snowflakes at a local store on clearance from last year, ordered the crystals and the stand online and my SO and I put it together last night.

The stand pictured is 6" height with a 14" top.

I'm very pleased with how it came out. I tried a light with it but I just didn't like the way it looked.

Thoughts?! I'm getting excited! Less than a month now

Thanks so much! I was really worried I wouldn't be able to create my "vision" in my head but all the parts came together much better than I thought they would

That's really neat! The cake is beautiful and will look great with the stand. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the two together.
