I've never had a true "traditional" solitaire setting. My engagement ring (back in 1985) had a few small side diamonds on the shoulders. My mom got engaged in the 1940's and had a solitaire platinum setting with a transitional diamond. That diamond was lost many decades ago.
I have had many styles of rings over the years - but never really felt content with any of them.
Years ago, I made a few purchases of "August Vintage" moissanites from Jonathan, and I decided to contact him for the transitional lab diamond. I was looking for simplicity in the setting and went with the CvB Jovyn w/ tab prongs in platinum.

I know I made the right decision with this ring- once I put it on my finger, it felt like it had been mine forever.

Oh, yeeeeesssss......I've been wanting to see one of his transitionals "in the wild" to cement my decision to start saving hard for one, and this does it! Absolutely GORGEOUS, and so happy for you that you now have a ring that feels like "home"!

I'm in love with this combo! Stunning in every way!

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments!

I want to add (as most of you already know) that Jonathan was wonderful to work with.
