Hello! I''''ve just received a shared prong half eternity ering and wedding band set that I ordered, and while the rings are extremely gorgeous, well made and I am generally ecstatic, I have noticed that the diamonds on the wband and ering are different sizes - which is confirmed in the appraisal that came with the set. The diamonds on the ering are 5 pointers and the diamonds on the wband are 3 pointers. Altogether, the total carat weight equals the carat weight that was specified on the description of the set on the website, and is the carat weight that we paid for - but I never knew that the diamonds on the set were going to be different sizes, and if I knew, I would have requested that all the diamonds be the same size and paid for however much that would have cost. The description on the website never specified whether or not the diamonds on both bands would match, it simply gave the number of diamonds that would be included in the entire set and the total carat weight.

Is this normal? When you purchase a wedding set, is it common for the diamonds in the bands to not match? Should I have been more clear when ordering that I would want them to match? I''''m pretty sure that the reason different sizes were chosen was so that the half eternity pave would line up with each other when the two rings are placed together - however, if I were given a choice between having matching diamond sizes and the bands lining up together, I would have chosen the matching diamond sizes :/

Nope not normal. Who made it? I''d call and send it back!

It''s from ID Jewelry - I sent them an email today with my concerns and I think it was past business hours in NY but they replied to my email to say they will call me on Monday to discuss this further. They have been wonderful from the beginning so I''m sure they will do whatever they can to resolve the issue.

Its not normal at all. If the wedding band was listed as a match to the ER the stone sizes should match. Good that they responded to you so quickly. You should get the two rings to match.

It could be how they made up the weight with the stones to fit your rings but definitely discuss it with them.
