Did your ring size change after pregnancy?

I’ve been through two pregnancies but am only (“only”) 34. I’m “fit” and gained 25 lbs the first time (and lost it pretty quickly), and 20 the second time and am almost back down (4 months postpartum). I wore my rings throughout both pregnancies and they still fit. Size 4 is always a little snug if I am super swollen in summer and way too loose in the winter. That hasn’t changed yet.

@yssie I have wondered about this. Doesn't resizing a ring with diamonds (even if not a complete eternity) set in the band affect the integrity? Or is it completely safe to reset an (almost) eternity as you described above?
Yeah, I think any “straightening out” or “increasing curvature” of an eternity band is always going to have some negative impact on structural stability.

One jeweller I worked with a fair amount when we were in CA was big on 90% eternities. He even had a rule of thumb for sizing them - one eighth size per ring size was a “generally safe” amount. I’m hugely paraphrasing. So a size 4 ring could “generally” be “sized without compromising integrity” by 1/8 *4, or half a size. Of course keyword there is “generally”! This rule as a sanity-check baseline has stuck with me though.
