Diana/Kate mounting?

I know this is incredibly cliche, but I'm looking for a prong set halo ala Diana/Kate. I'm expecting a colored stone soon, and I think I'd like to go this direction.

However, I want quality! I'd like the outer stones to be around 8 pts, or about 1 carat tcw. My stone will be oval. And I'd like to keep it under $2000.

I posted this in Rocky Talk, but you know how they are..... The request flew right over their heads.

But I know my CS homies can get the job done!!

I was looking for a mount such as this a while back, and wanted the centre oval to be 'long' - this was the nearest I found after searching everywhere I could think of. I like the ratios of this one, and if perhaps you went via one of the favourite vendors to order and set some nice diamonds and your centre, I'm betting it will turn out beautifully.

Uppy - just a suggestion but how about having it made with white sapphires? That would help with the cost issue and then you could go custom perhaps? How about Sally at HOW?

Are you going to risk LOGR after reading some other posters' experience with getting cruddy diamonds even though the listing said VS diamonds? Yours are going to be a good size so any cruddiness will be more apparent.

The Adwar approach would be a much better option! Then I can have them set with some signature stones. BGD has finished a stock mount for me before.
