I know this is not a watch forum. The question I ask has a lot to do with diamonds I am torn between Two-tone yellow gold/SS and WG/SS for a watch. While I much prefer the luxurious look of a TT watch, I can't help but worry the there is too much yellow gold around the diamonds in the bezel, making the diamonds appear smaller and more yellow. Which watch would you choose? And why? Thanks for votes and comments.

Although I wear mostly platinum and WG, I think the TT will go with my jewelry. Thus, pairing up with jewelry is not a concern.

I vote yellow gold. Normally I'm a white gold gal, but I think the yellow gold is more lux and appropriate for this watch.

I like the look of the version with the yellow gold bezel as well, it creates contrast between the different sections of the watch and looks "richer" to me.

I have never been a fan of Rolex or yellow gold, however, the first watch with YG looks nicer to me than the all white metal version.

DK :))

THe YG is very very pretty, but I prefer the slightly more subtle look of the all white version.

two tone, hands down!

I have a two tone Rolex Datejust with diamond markers but it does not have a diamond bezel. I personally think this particular Rolex looks better in two tone. The yellow gold on the watch provides both a rich look and contrast. A friend of mine and I were both looking at new Rolexes a couple of years ago and we had a nice girls night out at the jewelers. Rolex had changed the bracelet after 50+ years to have a clasp like the Presidential model. We just had to have that new model! Without exception, every one in the group liked the two tone better than the all stainless for the reasons mentioned above. If I wanted an all stainless or all white gold watch, I think I would prefer a different model. Needless to say, we both got the two tone version.

Remember Bem3231 that was shopping for a new Rolex a bit ago? She has a platinum ering but chose an 18 kt. gold Presidential Rolex to wear. I don't think she gave a thought to the mixed metals but was more concerned about the 26 mm vs. 31 mm in size. She wanted to buy a lifetime timepiece; her watch is gorgeous! My ering and five stone ring have diamonds set in platinum with yellow gold shanks. I love both metals so this gives me the best of both worlds. I had considered changing to all platinum at one point and even considered changing/buying an all white metal Rolex. In the end, I decided to stick with what I have. My husband prefers the contrast of the different metals too and I get lots of compliments on my watch.

I have another friend that has platinum rings but wears a two tone Rolex. It is a beautiful look as well. I love my Rolex and the fact that it is waterproof. I wash it every night before I put it away and LOVE that I can safely do this.

The bezels around the diamonds do not make the stones look yellow - Rolex uses D/E color stones and they definitely stand out among the bezels. Those diamonds definitely do not look yellow. Just my two cents - everyone has an opinion! I wish you the best of luck with your choice and hope you love the one you choose!!

Absolutely.

I like the white. I think the gold distracts from the beauty of the face of the watch; too much going on. To my eye the white looks more expensive & elegant and makes the face look shimmery like the diamonds. The gold looks a little old-fashioned.

Two tone and this is my reasoning. I have a two tone Ebel pearl face with diamonds and similar to yoour rolex. I know have no problem s mixing yellow and white gold jewelery. I wear my Alex and ani bracelets both stainless and gold plated and it makes it easier
