Dear all,
I have been planning for quite a while to get a pair of studs. I have a local jeweller who does beautiful settings, so I am just looking for the diamonds. I have researched the subject a bit and been reading lots here on Pricescope, so understand how important cut is.
Since I am in the EU I have decided to go with Blue Nile. I am looking for 0.8-0.9-ish ctw, a little bit colour sensitive so H, and around VS1.
I have these on hold, and wonder if you lovely people would give me your opinion if these diamonds are worth considering?:

In under a carat stone in ears H=D.
But you can safely go to SI and get larger diamonds.
No one can get close enough to see the inclusions.

Thank you for your reply,
Yes, I guess VS may be "over-kill" in studs... I think this size is perfect for me, so don't really want to get bigger, but paying too much for something that's not noticable of course doesn't make sense either.
It's just when one is not able to see them in person beforehand I get a little nervous, and so tend to go on the safe side.

No one ever got disappointed going larger - seriously - look at half carats.

Haha, I hear you :), and realise DSS is real. It's mostly that I would like to wear these everyday, and I work in healthcare so don't want to have too much bling going on.

I took Garry's advice and looked at slightly bigger diamonds.

I chatted with a very pleasant lady at James Allen, and she found me this matching pair:

1 ctw, H, SI1

Specs #1:
Table: 56
Depth: 62.3
Crown: 36
Pavillion: 40.5

Specs #2:
Table: 56
Depth: 62.2
Crown: 33.5
Pavillion: 41

However, when I put them through the very helpful HCA-tool they came out as looks "average" for size, whereas the 0.86 tcw came out as "big" for its size, so now I am a little lost...

I wonder if anyone could give me your thoughts on these diamonds, from James Allen? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
