I''m thinking of buying some diamond earrings for my 35th birthday. These are two pairs that I really like.

This pair I love the design, but I''m a little nervous to spend so much sight unseen with an online place.

Here is another pair similar to the white flash pair.

My budget is about $3,000 or so.

Any other suggestions? I really want something sparkely, but that I could wear all the time.

I''ve never bought from Whiteflash so I don''t have an opinion although I know they''re highly recommended by other PSers.

As for futurefashionista, I''ve only bought pearls from Elana, not diamonds so can''t comment on her diamonds. However, her customer service is top-notch and because she''s a small business owner you always get personalised service and will be working with her directly. Give her a ring to discuss the diamonds you''re interested in, she''ll be happy to chat with you.

Have fun shopping.

I also bought some pearls from Elana, and I love them. Nice to see others have a great opinion of her too.

I like the whiteflash and the ones that look like the whiteflash pair. For the price difference I might would order the cheaper ones and
see if they were what I wanted (as long as they had a good return policy). If the diamonds didnt seem nice or good quality for the
price I would return them. Its a lot of money to spend so I would expect them to be very nice!

Have you considered shared prong huggie hoops? BGD makes them & so does Whiteflash. Someone bought them recently and they were TO DIE FOR. SOOOOOOO PRETTY. Def what I'd want in that price range -- except perhaps some HOF Dream studs of some sort or those darn Cartier Inde Mysterieuse beauties. GAH! So many choices.

Honestly, none of the ones you posted appeal to me personally. That type of pave seems troublesome and the other pair looked bulky & verging on old fashioned. **ducking**

ETA: Check out this thread on \"Huggable Hoops\" ... I believe Kaleigh has a pair like this too. And others. They are PHENOMENAL!

No seriously I want advice. Actually I didn''t think the White Flash pair you posted was really me when I saw them on the website, but they look fantastic in the ears. My DH saw all three and likes the White Flash pair best too. Do you think they''d be a good size for an everyday pair that still had lots of sparkle? I do like the shared prong.

I would eventually like a pair of simple diamond studs, but I''m holding out for 2 ctw. Lol, or something close.

Whew! Cool. I do think that size huggy hoop would be great for every day wear & have even more "big sparkle" than the pave hoops in the long run. Pave is "sparkly, glimmery" but shared prong larger stones like that have an elegant BLAM of sparkle. Yanno? For your budget you could even increase the size of the stones a teensy bit if you wanted MORE sparkle or size. But I think the pair in the thread I linked were just AMAZING. Have to look for Kaleigh's thread if I'm remembering right. Someone else said they'd stopped wearing their big studs once they got huggy shared prong hoops like this because the hoops were so much more comfy & versatile. Fun project! Look forward to seeing what appeals to you most after hearing from other Pscopers & thinking about what would work best for your wardrobe, lifestyle, tastes etc.

ETA: I just read in an old post that Kaleigh's WF huggy hoops are a bit bigger -- they each have five 15 pointers. So 1.50 TCW. ACA's. WG, etc... Still looking for pictures! Remember them to be phenom.

I might have to go with platinum too, so that will raise the price. My diamond necklace is platinum, which is why I think I might go that route (and my rings).
I looked for that other thread by Kaleigh but, only saw her planning to buy thread, not the finalized purchase. I might try to go to some local places to try some things on. Too bad there isn''t a good virtual way to try on diamonds yet!

Found some from Brian Gavin Diamonds .. these are a lower total carat weight - so a bit more delicate ... but very pretty & blingy also. Think it shows that they are another vendor option for this type of earring.

I know Kaleigh did get those earrings -- she doesn't take many pictures herself. Maybe they're in one of Diamond Fan's threads. Will keep looking. Maybe she'll stop by & report her findings with a few years with them now.
