So do all diamonds have tiny bubbles and and inclusions at high magnification like 60x? I was viewing - vvs2 graded by ags and there is actually a lot of tiny bits and bubbles in there. Do IF diamonds have this too?

Just curious

You'll find something if you magnify it enough.

yes

IF is only flawless at 10x, so yes.

Ah I see 10x. I am learning waaay too much about diamonds. Thanks all.

Check this out, this was like a 12 dollar attachment for my iphone 5 that gives 60x mag. Not too bad IMO for a cheap little thing from china.

Do IF diamonds have tiny feathers at say 60x then or just bubbles? I asked this a couple of weeks ago but no one saw it? Karl K - do you know?

They can yes.

Just curious... but is the stone squeaky clean?

Thanks Karl_K.

This diamond is showing magnification at 60x which is a lot more than 10x but I wonder what jewellers and gemmologists who work with diamond microscopes all the time think about the 10x diamond grading for clarity. If it was me I think I would think well an Internally Flawless stone at 10x but if I turn up the magnification to just 15x it is now a lower grade i.e. vvs1 or vvs2.

Wonder how those in Japan who want the very clean diamonds feel about this or if they even know it?

This is a super cheap magnifier. So I am not 100% sure some of that's an artifact. But it does have the appearance of being inside the diamond. It's as clean as I can get it without a steamer.
