Diamond wholesaler/Great jeweller in Sydney?

Hi,

Can any Aussies recommend a supplier they have dealt with in purchasing a diamond for a new engagement ring?? Has anyone dealt with Melbourne Diamond Exchange, Jogia, Diamond Express or Diamond Specialist or heard about any of them?

out of those I would go with Jogia for sure - ditto on the search, there are plenty of happy
customers from Jogia - for example Laraonline just had her ring finished from them the other week.

Personally, I have not bought from any of them, but I did have some not so good experiences with MDX early on
in my search, and have heard those concerns echoed here.

The other two I haven't ever heard of.

I have not bought a centre diamond from these guys, but they are currently remodelling my rings and I am very happy with the jeweller I''m dealing with. That''s at Holloway Diamonds and I know they have a very qualified diamond specialist. I have got two small pink diamonds from them and an extra one to go in my wedder and I''m very happy with the pricing of those - much less than another smaller jeweller who quoted almost double the price for the pinks ... good luck! Sorry, I''m not certain whether they have a store in Sydney so I may not have been any use to you at all. Their website is pretty good though for information and a good gallery to peruse.

Hi Bugaboo, we purchased my diamond from Alldiamonds in Elsternwick, Melbourne. They have a website (just search Alldiamonds).

If you give them a call ask for Perry and he will help you find what you want. They specialise in ideal cut diamonds of all shapes and sizes. If you go back through my posts you will see my solitaire pic/s also heart bezel which was also purchased from Perry. What type of diamond are you after e.g shape?

I have enquired a few places - Melbourne Diamond Exchange have not even bothered to return my call after 1 week and a half - they were to search for RB and cushions for me.............Delphi Diamonds - he was extremely helpful, and called nearly straight away after I sent them an email. Jogia returned email very promptly, although crossfire selection limited in want I require. Cerrone have been very helpful, although they have to import the stones. Diamond Specialist great communication, but they will have to import. The best result has been Larsen Jewellers in Sydney located Strand Arcade - cannot fault their customer service - and they will have a selection of stones for me to view.

To conclude, I will go further with Delphi diamonds and Larsens. I intend to get to Sydney (a few hours away from me) next week where I will meet with them both. I want to view some RB and cushions as undecided between the two, and I want to view say F, SI1''s as opposed to H,VS etc to see what I get for my money. The biggest problem is availability of stock and most need 10% deposit to import the stone.....abit difficult when I want to view a selection of stones at the same time.
