I am looking for my wedding rings - really excited!

Can anyone post me pics of shared prong and u-prong settings? Is there a difference?

Hi lotta!

This is my shared prong eternity, 2.20ct, F-G, SI. The top view is really the same as a u-prong, the difference being the side profile of mine is 'filled in' or solid, ie. the girdles of the diamonds aren't exposed like in a u-prong. I do love u-prong settings though, I'm sure someone who owns one will chime in, but from what I've seen they tend to sit pretty low compared to other styles, which I love.

i have a u-prong, and as mentioned by the previous poster, it sits lower, which is what i wanted. here's a pic of it alone and a profile shot with my e-ring.

Here's my platinum shared prong 3/4 eternity band with .20 stones for a tcw of 2.40 in a size 5.5 from ID Jewelry.

I also have a U-prong (see my avatar), from the top, I think it is very similar to a shared prong. U-prong, the diamonds show more on the profile view (the U-shaped - open).

I had mine made so it the stones sit really low for comfort and it is very comfortable. I love it!

My engagement ring and my wedding band are eternity bands. They're shared prong rather than u-prong. The difference is in the profile--I wish I had a good profile shot to show you! I think it depends on which style you prefer, really.

It is about a month old. I need to post some pics of it one of these days. I really love it. The 3/4 is perfect for me, as I don't worry about losing stones from the bottom of the ring and it will be easy to size if the need ever presents itself. I am really happy with it and find myself wearing it more than my ering!

I hear ya yennyfire, my eternity ring was made for my RHR but I wear it on my left ring finger ALL the time. So when I wear my e-ring and wedding band (now, occassionally), they're like almost new to me, so sparkly and my center stone looks bigger too

I had planned to wear mine on my right hand too, but to be honest, I feel self concious wearing so much bling at one time. I totally agree with you though...after a week or so without wearing my ering, when I put it on, it looks so much larger and more sparkly than I remember it!

Haven --Thank you for the compliment... Your eternity wedding set is very, very gorgeous!

I picked out this wedding band because of my e-ring's side stones. They look like prong / bead setting so I figured this is the closest I could get. They do not necessarily match but the stones (round) and the setting may allow both rings to somehow compliment each other...
