I'm looking for my first pair of diamond studs approx. 1 ctw. I know Whiteflash is highly recommended on this forum. I'm wondering what the experts here think about this pair. I was hoping to spend a little less then this but there doesn't seem to be much to choose from under $3k. I'm looking for at least SI1 and I color. I'm also trying to get feedback on the setting and backings. I think I'd like a martini setting since it showcases the diamonds best but not sure what the most secure backing would be...screw or La Pousette. Thanks

That's an awesome pair. Perfectly matched and, of course, superbly cut.

La pousse for sure. Screw is usually not recommended. Have hurt peoples ears.

They look really beautiful,

These look good! For the backing I’d go for la pousette.

Beautiful pair!:kiss2: Screw backs could be uncomfortable. Threaded posts also tend to wear with time and there’s a risk of losing that earring. LaPousette would be a better and more comfortable option! I’ve also thought about Chrysmela backs but read mixed reviews and not sure about them.

I just got a white flash pair and they recommended screw backs. I love them. I wear them 24/7 and was told the spring rusts in the la poussette backs and can’t get wet. I also work with Covid patients and a regular tension back popped off from a n95 mask. The screws feel secure. Here’s a pic. The setting is a 4 prong martini with little claw prongs. I think they’re perfect! They’re about 1ct each and one is an I vs2 and the other an I si1, so close to yours in color and clarity. 25436692-7E41-44C9-A394-A2D0146C2E6D.jpeg

Curious to how the screws are holding up. I am looking at getting something very similar except 1.5TCW and 3 prong. Leaning towards Whiteflash as well but not sure if I should do screw or Pousette. Was hoping to wear them 24/7. Are they comfy to sleep in?

They suggested the screws because I work in healthcare and one of my last studs popped off when removing an n95 mask. I like them. I bought chrysmela backings that were recommended on here for some more support and they fit perfectly and seem very secure. I wear them 24/7. Sometimes I feel them at night but not enough for me to remove them. I totally recommend Whiteflash. The stones are gorgeous and you don’t have to think too hard to pick because they’re all nice!

Thanks! Do they poke you at all? I have some screw earrings from Maria Tash but the screw back is flat which is nice

They poke as much as any post earrings. I feel it sometimes mostly on the phone, but it’s not bothersome. I wish more places had Maria tash style flat backs!
