My 30th birthday is coming up and I am choosing some diamond studs! I am so excited and while the budget is very small I still can't wait. I have done my research and narrowed it down to two options. I would love opinions from those of you in the know!

James Allen - I can get a pair of 18k white gold screw backs with .5 H/I colour SI clarity martini 3 claw for $850
or
Diamond Wave - I can get a pair of 14k white gold screw backs with .75 I colour I1 clarity martini 3 claw for $1120

Both of these do not come with certification.

Basically is it worth having some eye visible inclusions for the slightly bigger size? I really can't go any higher in my budget. I'm in Australia too so the earrings over $1000 will cost me an extra $150 or so in taxes whereas the James Allen ones will be free of taxes as they are under $1000.

So tell me, what would you choose???

try these by white flash
these look perfect and if you call whiteflash and tell them maybe they could lower price $12 dollars for tax purposes. they make perfect studs and they have an upgrade policy also they are ideal cut and eye clean. Also I would suggest calling them and letting them select the perfect pair for you

2nd find brain gavin smaller less money also ideal http://m.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond_pair_comparisions/compared_diamond_details/CAGS-104067855121/CAGS-104067855120

Thanks for your help. Do you not like James allen or diamond wave?

not familiary with diamond wave and I just know that BG and WF have great customer service and will work with you and have upgrade pollicies I am not thrilled with the selection that you showed above. What did you think of the WF I had above

I haven't had a close look yet because I'm out and about but they looked good. I guess it just comes down to whether I spend over $1000 because with currency conversion that means $850 or so US but I do like the idea of the upgrade policy

Do you think it is important to get the certification or should I get the bigger diamonds seeing as my budget is only small? Also the preset ones say H/I but as there is no certificate do you think the colour would be any better than the whiteflash certified set that are J colour?

Get the better stones with AGS papers, you'll never regret it. Plus, a well cut stone often faces up larger than a poorly cut stone of the same weight. And the well cut one will outshine the poorly cut one by a noticable amount. I second the WF recommendation.
