Hi All!

Looking to get my wife a 10-year anniversary gift. Bought her engagement and push present (diamond studs) from WF.
Looking at this diamond and was hoping to get the experts thoughts? :)

Thank you!

It looks like a beautiful diamond. My question to you would be how did you come to choose this particular diamond? Size, color, clarity or price? The color and clarity are high which is fine if that is your intent. Would you consider a larger diamond in say a G or H color?

This diamond represents the same size with significant savings: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-di...olor-vs1-clarity-round-ideal-cut-sku-a4486354

Thank you very much for the input!
I did see that diamond but my concern, as a complete incompetent diamond seeker, is the age of the AGS report. My guess is someone traded it in. Perhaps I am being too picky?

I did see this one as well but worried about the table inclusions?

Thanks again!

I wouldn't personally worry about those inclusions, I think they'll completely disappear in real-life viewing plus no one looks as closely at a pendant as they do at a ring. To me the size boost would be worth it, but you can always reach out to WF and ask them for a comparison!

Watching the two videos you truly don't see the inclusions. I think that's the best flavor of SI1. For my $0.02, that one is a winner.

It is possible it was traded in but who knows where any of our diamonds came from and when? Some people would kill to have the AGS report as the specs are far more accurate than a GIA report.
The H looks good too. When an SI1 has many inclusions, chances are they are spread out and better than one large black inclusion. Needles are there and are some of the best inclusions to have in my opinion. Ask WF to do a video comparison of the two if you are still undecided. Nothing like a good comparison shot for color and performance. Keep us posted - your wife is in for a good treat with a new pendant!

I waited too long as missed out on that diamond :(

Now I am deciding between these two: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/compare/?idnos=4683374,4802485

The I color diamond does not who the inclusion plot.

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Also this one

Since there is a .20 difference between the F and the H and I, I would scratch it unless you want the higher color. I believe her ering is an H so I personally would be inclined to go with that. You could also ask WF to do a side by side video of the H and the I to see if you see a significant color difference.

Is it OK to buy an H VS1 without knowing where the inclusions are? Thanks again!

should be fine - VS1 is small ~ unlikely to affect the integrity of the stone plus inclusions are less notable (unless they affect optical clarity ie graining or clouds) in a pendant...

you can see some of them in the imaging...

In the center might be the Crystal the straight one @ 2 o'clock is either the Feather or the Needle.... small dots are pin points....

Thank you everyone!
Taking cost into consideration I have narrowed it down to the following and appreciate any thoughts:

Any ideas why this is significantly less expensive compared to other diamonds with similar characteristics but with a more recent grading document?

Thanks!

Probably dependent on pricing at the time the vendor procured the diamond. Lots of factors have influenced diamond prices in the last few years. However, there is quite a price difference between a H, VS1 and a F, VVS2.

Texas Leaguer from WF is advising that there may be a 10-25% price increase over the weekend due to impending possible tariffs on imports from India. This apparently applies to in stock diamonds as well. If you are planning to purchase soon, you might want to consider these possible increases and make a decision before the weekend.

Lower color if setting in yellow gold, otherwise, I would stay higher in color. I have a E colored small diamond in white gold and it has much brighter and has white dazzle that my lower color J in yellow gold pendant doesn't have.

Awesome, it will be so beautiful!
