I live in NYC, and the irony is that I'm having a very hard time finding a diamond seller that I can trust. I've dealt with some dealers on 47th st that tried to overcharge me and didn't point out critical problems with the stone I was looking at. Fortunately, through the information I learned from this site and others, I was smart enough to spot these problems. Fortunoff is the only dealer that I trust so far, however the probem is that they have a 50% mark up.
Does anyone have suggestions on how I can find a reputable dealer with a money-back guarantee and exchange policy? Is there an unbiased third party out there that lists recommended dealers?
