Diamond size

Hello all,

Eveyone has been so helpful so far and I thank you. I am wondering to the naked eye how big of a difference in look would a 1.75 carat be compared to a 2 carat? I am wondering if it is worth the extra money to go for the 2 or is it so slight that the extra .25 doesn''t really make a difference. As I have mentioned I have been looking at round, oval, cushion cuts.

It very much depends on the diameter measurements of the diamonds you are comparing Anthony, as lesser cut diamonds could be subject to some variance - also the shape you are considering.

There are many variables with fancy shapes such as ovals and cushions also, here is a size comparison between 1.5 carats and 2 as the closest I could find for you with round diamonds, obviously there would be less difference between 1.75 cts and 2.

The first diamond on the finger is 2 cts, the next one is 1.5 cts.
