Hello,

I love PS and thought I would finally join in! I currently have the Michael B petite princess e-ring and engagement ring set with a .944 round brilliant, ideal proportions, H color, VS2 (I fell in love with the Michael B long before I ever discovered it on PS!).

My current diamond measures 6.24 x 6.26. I''m upgrading within the next month to around a 1.3 ct ideal cut round, H, SI2.

My question is this...will the new stone look bigger than my current and does anyone currently own a michael b or similar ring (2 mm) with this size diamond on a size 6 finger that could post pictures? Or maybe just at least give my some insight, encouragement... :)

My husband is an Air Force officer (a low ranking Lt for other military out there

) and just got back from a deployment and decided to get me a new diamond. Yeah!!! Yes, when it comes down to it, we could get a 1.5 ct plus, BUT we are in the process of buying a new home and he just got me a brand new Volvo Cross Country, so I think a 1.3 is much more ideal for our circumstances. I guess I just want some feedback (hopefully positive) on the size of stone we''re getting. I''m in love with my H color, so I''d rather save $$$ in the clarity department, especially since I''m blind when it comes to seeing inclusions, etc.

Also, we got our original setting with Bill Pearlman at Pearlman''s so I just want to say kudos to him!!! I found him long before I found PS and I highly recommend them, especially if you are a military couple as he takes a lot of pride in the military and has wonderful stories to share. I''m getting my future stone through him also.

Recap:
PLEASE post pics of 1.3 - 1.4 ct round stones on thin bands
PLEASE inform me of visual difference between .944 and 1.3ish ct stone

Thank you!!!!

I''ll see if I can locate some pics but I can say you will definitely notice a difference b/t your .9 and a 1.3

Going from a .90 to a 1.3 is a big jump and you will certainly see the difference. Good for you!!! Please post a pic when you get it. What a nice hubby you have!!!

Here''s a chart purple passion posted that will give you an idea.
Model''s middle finger is a 6 US ring size (used to try and fit more rings on the upper knuckle).

Sizes: From left to right: 1.02ct [E/VS1], 1.21ct [G/VVS1], 1.51ct [F/SI1] and 2.01ct. [E/VS1] SuperbCert H&A diamonds

your old stone is slightly smaller than the first posted and your new one will be slightly bigger than the second one posted. looks like a pretty big difference to me

Wow, you guys are fast with replies!! Ok, I do notice a difference. Thank you for that chart. I''ll post pics of my current ring just to add to the collection of pictures out there?

Has anyone else purchased rings/jewelry/diamonds from Bill at Pearlman''s? I think he''s THE BEST!!! My husband and I have lived overseas in Germany for the last 4 years and he''s been the number 1 retailer of ANYONE! And he''s competing against Nordstrom, Macy''s, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware...

There are several her who have done business with Bill. He is a class act all the way and very well resected here on PS.

You will notice a difference in size for sure! My stones are not in narrow settings, but I have a .95c and a 1.35c. Both are ideal cuts from SuperbCert. The .95 measures 6.36-6.38mms and the 1.35 measures 7.16-7.21mms. Here they are side by side:

Thanks for all of your input!!! I really appreciate it.
