Hi PS''ers,

I finally made my decision today:

#2 - Brian Gavin
AGS-1040363310005
Brian Gavin H&A
Carats: 1.148
Color: F
Clarity: VS2
Table: 55.8
Depth: 61.4
Length: 6.72
Width: 6.75
Height: 4.14

Getting him to do the setting as well. Lesley definitely lived up to her reputation. She was on the ball with her responses and the turnaround time was quick!

Also, should I ask them for an appraisal? Does it need to be done or can I get it done when I receive the ring?

Thanks,

E

Depends on your comfort level.

Appraising a loose stone is more accurate for judging color and clarity of the stone, usually more for ungraded stones, stones graded by lower tier labs or stones sold by unknown vendor/private sales.

After it is mounted, some inclusions might be obscured, color imparted by the setting. Appraisal of the completed ring will help you determine if the stone is set correctly, stone is as stated in the report.

Thanks SC.

Does anyone know how the appraisal process works for Brian Gavin?
