Well, WF just got another stone in, and as Bob''s e-mail to me said "I think we have a winner."

The details of the previous call-in with the strange middle hole that I ended up having sent back is here

Anyway, Bob says it looks nice in person, is a fair price in my budget, and the IS looks good to me. Going to buy it tommorow! Barring disaster of some sort at the appraisal it''s on to the ring--TR-105 Gelin Abaci ring w/light purple sapphire sidestones.

Congrats. That IS looks really good. What''s the size on it? It looks very similar to the one I just purchased from WF today.

.91 carat, sarin has the other measurements I think.

If I had all the time in the world I might have waited till an appropriate VS2/G came on the market... but given that there really weren''t very many attractive stones around the .9 size I was willing to buy a little more color and clarity than I probably strictly need. The color I actually like, I found looking at diamonds in person I''m a little bit of a color snob and can really see yellow, esp in fancies.

Looks great, and the F color is going to look very nice!!! I see color in fancies much easier than in RB too, so I think going for an F was a wise decision. Please come back and post pics with those purple sidestones. That''s going to be a very unique ring -- love it!
