Diamond Question (HCA 1.7)

Hi everyone, I'm strongly considering the below diamond. I'm a little concerned about the steep crown and the depth. The stone did well enough in HCA but wanted to see if I'm potentially missing anything:

Carat weight: 1.03
Color: D
Clarity: VVS2
Fluorescence: Medium Blue
Shape: Round Brilliant
Cut: GIA Ideal
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Table: 57%
Depth: 62.2%
Crown: 35.0*
Pavilion: 40.8*
Star Length: 45%
Lower Girdle: 75%
Girdle: Medium-Slightly Thick (4.0%)
Culet: None
HCA: 1.7

I know it's somewhat limited without Idealscope but any help would be appreciated!

The crown angle is not too steep and the depth is under 62.3, so there are no concerns with the numbers. Can you get a photo or video of the stone if an idealscope image isn't possible?

Here's a picture of it--I can try to find video. One thing I noticed is the table is more squared than I've seen on other stones, don't know if that's an issue or doesn't matter? Also, medium fluorescence shouldn't cause milkiness, correct?

Fluor is unlikely to create any issues in anything under Strong or Very Strong, and even then it's rare, AIUI.

Just to ask, do you require/desire D and VvS for cultural reasons? You could probably drop to F and VS1 and look the same to the naked eye, meaning you could increase carat weight or buy a 'SuperIdeal' cut from one of the PS-recommended vendors :)

I actually was looking for anything G/VS1 and above with good specs (table 54-57, depth 61-62.5, etc.) and narrowed it down that way. Eventually I was deciding between a few stones and this one was comparable in price to others with lower color/clarity so I'm leaning this way (pending what I hear in this thread of course!). =)2

Sure! I'm looking to spend ~$8200 or less for the stone (lower is better of course and my current benchmark is $7700). Looking for (ideally) F+, VS1+, 1 carat+. Would potentially go down to G color but preference is colorless if possible in that price range.

Thanks!

A few WF ACA and HPD/CBI options that might be of interest! Also check out in-house stones at Brian Gavin Diamonds, and James Allen, although JA will require a bit more work to find a good one as you'll need to run the HCA tool on ones that look like they suit :)

Those are all 'Super-Ideal', or close to it, and it looks like you will struggle to hit F, VS1 and 1ct within or near your budget unless you drop to a PS-approved GIA XXX through JA, I reckon!

Thanks so much for your help!
