Diamond Price Comparison

First, I would just like to say hello to everyone. This is my first post and I am new to this site.

Now down to business. I am looking to purchase a loose diamond. I have already found the ring I want but I am still having trouble finding the perfect diamond without paying too much. A friend told me there was a way to compare diamond prices online with different online stores. Does anybody know if this is true and if so then how do you do it? My friend told me that they found their diamond at the online site that they got their ring from. But then they found the diamond somewhere else and it was like $450 less. I just dont want to pay more than I need to.

Any help and guidance is much appreciated.

Welcome to Price Scope. There is a diamond search engine located on the front page of the site which will enable you to run a search based on the characteristics which you select. Note that diamond cut quality is a factor not often discussed by retail jewelry store clerks and which can affect the selling price of a diamond as much as 60% (it is discussed in depth within the forum, so please spend some time reading the site before you buy).

Ditto, also another thing to factor in when comparing the prices is the service and policy differences between vendors.
