Hi. I have inherited two rings. The are very old, om silver setting. One is pear hit and one is emerald cut with two baguetter om the sides. What are the odds that real Diamonds are set in silver? The Look very dull and have no depth, but it sted positive on the diamond selector test.
I have an old cut diamond that I set into silver for aesthetic reasons. Your ring is beautiful however the photos you’ve shared look like costume, both because of the way the prongs hold the stone, as well as the indistinct girdle. An easy solution for you would be to take your jewellery to a local pawn shop and have them test the stones. Good luck!
