Hi all, so I’ve had my ring for a couple of weeks and I was looking at it this morning and I’ve just realized the Diamond isn’t set in the centre of the band. There is more diamond on one side (12 o’clock) then there is on the other side (6 o’clock). Am I crazy? Can anyone else see this? Is this acceptable or not? Thanks

In my opinion, the 12 o'clock prong is every so slightly to the left. Perhaps jeweler can adjust it and all will be well. :) Beautiful ring!

Hi thanks for your replying. I’m referring to the actual diamond. to me it doesn’t seem like it’s been placed in the centre of the band. There is more of the diamond on one half then there is on the other

Yes, I see what you mean. It’s ever so slight but once you see it it is quite obvious. I used a straight and lined it up with the band.

Also In the middle pic (side view), to me the prong on the left looks more curved than the one on the right though it is a little out of focus.

Beautiful ring btw.

*straight pen!

Yes it’s very noticeable to me now, I can’t unsee it! Is this something the jeweller should fix or am I being too picky?

The culet doesn’t line up with the band if the pics have been taken directly above the ring.

In your avatar it is (ever so slightly) noticeable, it lines up with th bottom of the band but not with the top……sorry I’m a Virgo ;)2

I’m not sure if your jeweller should fix it, but I would hope so. And no, I don’t think you’re being too picky…..you will be looking at it for the rest of your life.

I wasn’t sure if I should mention this but if it is going back to the jeweller anyway, take a close look at the prongs, are they evenly spaced? Some look uneven to me but it may just be the angle of your pics.

I see that too. The 2 and 4 o'clock look wider than the 8 and 10.

I see it too. Definitely talk to jeweler because you're right, you'll never unsee it.

Gorgeous though:kiss2:

You're right, it's leaning to one side and none of the prongs are symmetrical with their opposite partner

In general, any time a piece of jewelry (or anything just bought) isn't exactly as you want it, it will bother you forever. Absolutely make this item "mind-clean" for you or you'll always be slightly dissapointed when you look at it.

We’re you intending to stack a band? sometimes that kind of setting is intentionally off-set for that purpose. But yeah if you don’t like it get it corrected.

That’s great news
