Diamond Measurements

I''ve been looking at the measurements for different round brilliant diamonds and I have a question.

I''m just making up these numbers, but some have a higher second number

5.7x5.73

while others have a smaller one

5.7x5.67

Is one better than the other? Anyone willing to explain the measurements better to me? Thanx!!

While I'm asking...is there a limit (in order for it to be a well cut diamond) to what the difference should be between the first number and the second? Some are only about .3 while others are .7?

They are diameters. The more closer the more rounder!

It would be unusual to see numbers so bad that you could pick up the out-of-round with your eyes.
