This is a diamond that I suggested to someone and now the seller won't let him have it because they are insisting that their gemologist/cutter is saying that it has a blue hue/nuance and are refusing to procure it stating "their high quality standards" prevent them from doing so.
I've urged the buyer to show the seller this thread before the hold/reservation expires.
Geeky fact of the day, Environmental and dispersion blue are contained in virtual facets, blue nuance extends across virtual facets if all you have is face up images. Side and angled views are preferred to get a more solid opinion and spin videos you can control the angles are better yet.
There is no reliable method of assessing blue nuance based on rotating videos and the photos provided. Remember, blue is a very faint color by nature.
I wouldn’t ever feel comfortable guaranteeing such a stone did or didn’t have blue based solely on pics rotating vids.
