Diamond hoop earrings help!

Hi there! I'm new to this forum and wow I've learned SO much! Thanks to your fine website, I was able to purchase some 1/2 ct diamond studs for my mom for Christmas. I just received them yesterday and they are gorgeous and so much better quality than the mall jewelry stores. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this site!

Now I'm shopping for me! I would love to get a pair of diamond hoop earrings. I'm looking for some smaller hoops, they don't have to be huge and I like the thicker hoops. My ideal ones are on Blue Nile's website here is the link for them:

They are $1550 but have 20% off today only, making them $1240. I think that's a pretty good value for 1cttw. I prefer the princess cut in the channel setting more than the round.

However..I wouldn't be opposed to getting some hoops that had a little less diamond weight to them. Maybe 1/2 or 3/4. I figure that they might be a little cheaper that way.

I was just hoping that someone could help point me in the right direction before I pull the trigger on the Blue NIle ones. I would like to save a little cash! Thank you in advance!

The BlueNile hoops are gorgeous...if you can easily afford them, buy them!!!

Thank you for the reply! I'm still on the fence, I really like them but feel like I need to be buying presents for others right now. lol! I'll follow your suggestion and post this in the Rockytalk forum. I debated between that forum and this when I posted it!
