Diamond grader info

Sorry if this is bad form for asking but I''m interested in Diamond Grading and am wondering what salary might be expected for a new comer and possibly what possibilities down the road could be expected. Thanks Everyone.

We recently hired a new person with a GIA Diamond Diploma.
He is not exactly a novice so we are not at the bottom of what a beginner may start with. Also, we are not in the highest cost of living area...All these things need to be kept in mind.

Salary $25K range.

We now are being forced to examine the possibility of opening a diamond grading facility in India. There a GG gets $80 per month, I am told. How can we ever hope to compete here with that figure in the US market? This is a dismal prospect, but that is a downside of capitalism. It is a tough world.
