Diamond Evaluation - Did I make a good choice?

I ended up buying this diamond a few weeks ago: http://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD7519

Any thoughts? I should've asked here earlier, but I was reviewing Whiteflash, BGD, and High Performance Diamonds, and ended up getting this one. As someone looking for the ultimate best cut, how does my choice look? Could I have done better?

The problem is with buyers remorse and the more I read, the more I want to nitpick on the smallest things like the tiny clefs in the hearts. Also with the idealscope image, it looks awfully light in color. Is that how they just look sometimes and I should only be focusing on relative differences in color?

Its an excellent stone! Light red is just the photog set up...no issue.

Personally, I dont think you should worry about it until you get it...it should be gorgeous but (just in case it isnt beautiful to you) I do believe they have a very good return policy.

This is an interesting case study in H&A grading.

The resolution of the image provided on the HPD website is too low to say for sure, but IMO, some of those clefts come close to failing the 8% criterion. (especially the hearts at 6, 9, and 10-o'clock).

If you're paying the premium for a superideal, I would ask the vendor to provide some additional support (a higher-resolution image, or actual measurements of cleft dimensions) to demonstrate that it indeed meets the criteria for being sold as "precision cut" diamond with "the world’s highest performance".
