Hi all:
I got an evaluation from Gemscan (Independant diamond evaluator based in Toronto) and they rated my diamond (before I purchased it)as a very good cut (their second best rating behind Ideal). The Table diameter was 57%, the crown angle 35 degrees, the girdle is medium and the culet size is small... (everything good so far)...however the pavillion angle is 41.8 DEGREES!!!
Based on the information I have given...and based on what I have started to read on this website...it sounds as if they are on crack. Can a knowledgeable person please confirm this? Would you consider this diamond at best a "good" cut? What are the visual problems with this diamond? Where can you vary in cut and still have a brilliant stone?
Thanks for your help,
