Diamond Earring Studs: Solitares or Halos

Hello all, so since VDay is right around the corner, I have been looking at diamond studs for earrings & I am wondering which one I should ask for ..here is what I am looking at:

If they are halos, I don't want to look at anything too huge. Does anyone know what size 3/8ct is for earrings btw? Is it super tiny? It doesn't need to pop and look clunky/heavy, but I'd like to wear them & for them to be visible..

DH has purchased from Brilliance & their jewelry is flawless (IMHO).
I don't want big bulky studs, but for the cushion studs I am liking YG or even Rose gold for the backs.

What are your thoughts? Would you go with the classic diamond earring solitaire or a diamond halo?

I'd do studs with jackets. That way, you get the best of both worlds. IDJ has some great jackets at a reasonable price (at least they did a couple of years ago. I haven't price checked in a while). Tell them you want Pricescope quality stones.

I would do solitaire studs.

Did you see these on loupe troop? They are a little bigger carat weight than the second pair you posted and IMO better stones.

These are very nice earrings for the price point and would look lovely with jackets or without.
