Diamond Earring Search

I was thinking about buying diamond earrings for my wife. She wants 1.5 to 1.75 carat diamond studs with 4 prongs with a white gold setting.

I originally wanted to spend $1k but then I did a quick search and I seem to be way under. Could I find studs for $2k? Based on a quick internet search it really looks like I need to be in the $3k to $4k range.

If you want nice/decent studs in that size you will probably have to spend more than $4k. A lot of stones in that ctw for $3/$4k are just junk.
I think you'll need to contact Yekutiel at ID Jewelry and see what he can find you. You might be about to get K/Si2s in the $4k price range.

It will be hard but perhaps not impossible if you drop color, as tyty suggests. You might need to go smaller and up your budget slightly.

tyty and whitewave! Thank you so much for the responses. This is very helpful. I will need to plan this a bit better and save a little so that i can get above the 4k range. i don't want to spend that much money for junk!
