Diamond Earring Ideas?

I bought my girlfriend a small white gold hoop earring in college and she loved it (size of a dime). See attached.

Based on several hints, it looks like its time for an upgrade. Are there any diamond earrings that I can look into that are within a $500 - $1,000 budget based on the following criteria:

1. Price range ($500 - $1,000)
2. Everyday wear, can be worn to fancy events as well as casual days.
3. Comfortable where you can sleep in them. (This one is tricky, the only reason she loves the earrings that I got her in college is because it's a hoop vs. a stud where the back won't probe behind the ears).

Just an idea. I love my little dangle earrings. They have movement which makes them even more sparkly. I wear them 24/7 and often get compliments.
I got them from James Allen where they carry preset dangles and studs in various sizes and prices.
I also have very tiny (.24ct) round brilliant dangles. The cut is surprisingly excellent for a preset stone. I also get a lot of compliments about them!
I think because they move they are very noticible.
