I am in the market for diamond drop earrings and I was hoping the PS community could recommend some settings. Here's my wish list:
a) August vintage rounds (first preference) or ACAs (second preference)
b) 0.8-1.0 ctw
c) Drop earrings - the diamonds must dangle!
d) Pavé wires
e) No halos as I am after a casual look for daily wear
f) Secure locks
g) Yellow gold or two-tone (I know this is not a popular choice, but yellow or two-tone would be easier to match with the rest of my jewelry)
A few visuals to explain what I like:
1). I really like these, but this store doesn't work with outside stones. Does anyone know if their stones are good? (http://www.americandiamondshop.com/...e=DIAMOND&enable_header=true&enable_menu=true)
2) VC. Beautiful (and they can make them without the halos), but they do not cut Canera European Rounds in the small size that I am looking for. This could be a good choice if I decide to go with modern cut stones, but first I want to explore the possibility of making earrings with AVRs.
3) WF. Again, beautiful, but I don't think they will make them with outside stones.
About the locks. I think the above 3 locks are secure (what do you think?). Below is an example of a lock that I don't want. I have earrings with a lock like this and I keep losing them weekly - they go flying off every time of put on a sweater, every time I take of a scarf, etc.
So TLDR: where can I find similar-looking settings that would agree to work with GOG's AVRs?
