Diamond color in yellow gold

Does the color of the diamond have more or less of a effect in yellow gold. The GF wants a yellow gold ring, is there a color grade I should stay above so that it doesn''t effect the stone? Or can I go a color grade lower and not be affected?

It is the other way round - you must have better color in white settings.
I say H is fine in Yellow, others will tell you I or J.

My J color EightStar looks splendid in its YG setting! Most people think it's an E, but I don't give a Tinker's dam what anyone else thinks anyway!
