One more picture of my K (far left) alongside a J and a G (far right)....face up, they look pretty darn close, it''s in the real world on your hand, tilted, different lighting, etc. that you start to pick up on the color.

I believe that comparing on a monitor can be done assuming quality control is done

If the videos are made in a controlled environment and the videos are color balanced (white balanced) properly, as long as the viewers view the videos with a color calibrated monitor.

I don''t know the environment in which these diamonds were compared, but I would say to do it in a room without any light coming in from the outside. Then light up the room with daylight 5500K bulbs. The video and/or photographs much be taken with white balance set at 5500K.

At home, the viewers must make sure they set their color temperature appropriately and make sure they are also in a room w/o any outside light coming in except for daylight balanced 5500k bulbs lighting up the room.

Only then, do I believe that a decent comparison can be made.

With that being said, most people do not calibrate their monitors nor care to take the time to do so, so therefore the comparisons cannot be made on the monitor.
