Hi all! Newbie here :) Just wanted to put this out there to get some opinions...

My husband is planning on buying me a diamond ann. band (I''m ready for a little bling...lol) and I think I''m leaning towards an eternity band. What do you think would go well with my rings? My e-ring is a 0.5 ctw tension-set oval diamond on a plain 18K white gold band (4 mm that tapers down to 2 mm) and my w-ring is also a plain 18K white gold band (2.3 mm that also tapers down to a 2mm). I''d like to wear my ann. band between my rings.

I''d post some pics, but I''m having problems doing so ::scratching head::

Thanks!

ooohhh...new bling!

Nice set!

The first thing that comes to my mind is something like the Tiffany Etoile band.

Whoop, that e-ring looks to me to be about two carats.

But that will be too thick if you''re wearing three rings at once.

Since you have metal e-ring and metal w-band, I think you should go for as little metal as possible on the a-band. Putting a shared prong eternity ring in between the two will be great contrast.

I agree - if you want to wear the diamond band in between the rings you already have then it should be pretty thin, and I think a shared prong eternity band would fit the bill. I do love how the etoile would look, but think it might take up too much ''finger'' with the other rings on too.

Hmmm...I really *love* shared-prong eternity bands. Anybody suggest a certain ''brand''? What about carat weight...1 or greater? Any issues with such a band ''eating up'' the other rings. Thanks guys...I really appreciate the advice!

question: do you wear the 2 mm side of your wb up? or is the 2.3 mm side up?

anyway, I'm thinking maybe 3 pointers, which would give you a width of about 2.2

I wear the 2.3 mm side up (the rings taper and flatten). Oh...and FireGoddess...I'm in love with your pear :)

Thanks, kaleigh! Holy blinging avatar...beautiful!

More hand shots...

hi there CJ..i agree that a thin shared prong eternity band (maybe one on each side!) would be fab with your ring, especially since it''s a domed ring...i wouldn''t get a ''flat'' edged ring like mine but rather something with those softer edges and less metal, aka like the shared prong would be fab. the only thing to ensure is that whatever you get will not EAT AWAY at your existing e-ring, diamonds pressed against metal can have that effect. anyhow, i''d try to make sure you don''t have ''overhang'' on the diamond girdles, there''s alot of information about that out here on PS so check it out with some searches. but i agree thin lines of glittering stones would be fab. if you can''t do shared prong because of the overhang, suggest a really thin micropave kind of band with very thin channel edges (like qietiki''s earrings are set) so that the metal hits metal rather than stone hits metal. good luck!!

I like Mara''s idea, one eternity on each side.

I had Facets custom make my 2 eternity bands. Very happy with the results.

Thanks, ladies :)
