I work a few days a week in a restaurant as a server and I wanted a ring that was flat and sturdy. Sapphires are about 1ctw and diamonds are about .70ctw. All lovely and sparkly that I have received many compliments while at work.

Indoors the sapphires definitely show blue but since sapphires are a "day" stone, they look beautiful in outdoor lighting! If I am being honest, they don't compete like the sapphire in my avatar but I can't compare a GIA certified sapphire set in a designer platinum JB Star setting to smaller sapphire ovals in a 14kwg setting.
