diameter question

is a diameter of 6.48 for a 1.011 ct (h&a cut, 1.1 on halloway) a good diameter? or on the small side? what is an ideal diameter for a diamond of this size?

or should we opt for a 1.096 ct (h&a, 1.2 halloway) with a 6.68 diameter?

the price difference is over $500--is the bigger one worth it?

Both the 6.48 and 6.68 mm diameters are nice full diameters for their respective carat weights (1.01 and 1.09 cts). Nothing wrong there.

The 0.20 mm difference in diameter size would be fairly noticeable if you held them side-by-side. Apart, I don't think your visual memory would retain the difference.

Richard hit the nail on the head. Those two diamonds are just fine and if you put one in a mounting on one hand and the other in an identical mounting on the other hand, you will not see the size difference.
