DiamCalc or DiamCalc Pro

Hi everybody ¡¡

I´m very interested in to buy the fantastic software Diamcalc from Octonus Software. Among other things I want to develop new cuts for diamonds and import files from Sarin. I don´t know if I can do it with DiamCalc or I need Diamcalc Pro.

I read about this software, but I don´t understand what is the difference between these two programs that justifies the difference in price , since DiamCalc Pro is worth 10 times more than DiamCalc . In this moment.

DiamCalc is fine for starting out.
I mostly use the features in the regular version and just when I'm getting ready to finalize a design for production use the pro features.
When it comes time to set the angle range for your design for production is when the pro features really shine.

Get the regular version and when your ready to move up to production get the pro would be my advise.
When that time comes the price difference is worth it.

I agree with Karl,
Plus you may find you want to use DC and DCpro at the same time as DCpro automates huge database production across myriads of variables (2 at a time) which can take several hours.
This screen shot shows some of what you can produce - this run took about 5 hours and produced 1,547 light return and other data, plus 91 ASET images and DiamCalc files.
