Is there a way to see a cut of cushion deep or shallow? Or no need for a cushion, only for a round?
A cushion I am looking into is 1.02ct, 5.97*5.84*3.97

Edit, I am also wondering what size round will be equal to/similar looking with the cushion above. :twirl:

Every cushion has to be evaluated individually. A round diamond at .75 is about 5.8mm and .80 around 5.9mm in diameter.

does it mean the cushion would be similar looking with a 0.75-0.8ct round diamond?

To simplify, cushions with a depth of 63% to 69% seem to work well (still need to consider other parameters).

Yes, assuming the shape was similar. A 1 ct. round is about 6.5mm, so you'll get a greater face-up appearance with a 1 ct. round. I'd go to a 1.2-1.4 cushion to try to get closer to the appearance of a 1 ct. round.
