Design ideas for two potential rings

Hey! we''ve been kind of broke lately but it looks like I may finally be able to set a few stones in June! I realize I''m getting a little ahead of myself since it''s still January, but I can''t help it.

First I am thinking of setting my acstones malaya garnet. It''s a supernova oval, beautifully cut. 1.73 carats. The second is a .56 F SI2 diamond that I had set into a pendant but I''m just not wearing it. I wear rings every day so I think I want to make it into ring. I also have a pair of studs that would make great side stones for one of them. They are .25 each, again i never wear them and have been wanting to do something with them. Both will have to be stock settings because I will be on a budget. I like three stone rings, halos are pretty and I also like simple solitaire settings with small diamond accents.

Any ideas?

If it were me I''d do a diamond three stone and a delicate halo (maybe from LOGR) on the garnet...very pretty and so exciting that you can set some this year

I admit thats how I''m leaning right now. The proportions seem about right with the three diamonds. Of course I have five months to think about it Yes, I''m super happy to be setting some stones finally!

I agree that a 3 stone diamond ring would be lovely. Your garnet would look very pretty in a delicate halo too. I can''t wait to see how things turn out.

I would either:

1- Halo the garnet, or
2- Three stone the garnet, with the two studs as sidestone then with the Larger diamond - halo that puppy

I could go either way and both would look good. Being a gemini ( yes this project is for my b-day) I will probably change my mind back and forth a few times before June

Three stone!! That garnet is gorgeous, the 0.25s would frame it beautifully

I think I would halo the garnet and do the diamond 3 stone. It''s fun to plan projects far in advance, I think!

If you love the oval and will get a lot of wear out of it, I''d say diamond side stones on the oval. And get a nice halo for the larger diamond. But if you are like me and your white diamonds get much more wear than your colored pieces... then all diamond three stone and a halo around the oval.
