What depth should i be looking for in an ideal round?

American ideal depths: 59.9% to 63%

Guys, one cannot say what ideal depth is without knowing table size, crown and pavilion angles.

Well cut diamonds with smaller table size (53%-54%), for example, may have 63% total depth.

However, stone with 57% table and 63% depth will not be ideal cut.

Oh Ok, I see! thanks!

One can say that stones exceeding the 63% depth or less than 58.3 are outside of the potential for Ideal Cut on a conventional basis.

A stone needs to be examined in a complete way before determining it is really an Ideal Cut. Components need to go properly with eachother for this to happen.
