Democrat Discussion -with RULES-

I was just talking to my African-American coworker about the election and I told him I basically just voted the African-American ticket! (Most of my local officials are African-American and all of the local people I voted for are.) It was rad! I wish there were more women, but I''m still stoked about how far our country has come.

I told him something I told my fiance the other day-the only way Obama winning could make me any happier would be if I were African-American, too. He agreed-he said I had no idea how much it would mean to him if Obama wins. And this is from a guy who is never serious.

Anyways, just an interesting conversation I figured I''d share. GOOOOOOOOOOOOBAMA!

I just voted!! As soon as the polls opened I walked two doors down to my polling place and made my ''voice'' heard.

The poll workers kept commenting on how surprised they were about the turnout right first thing in the morning.


Now I am off to go door knocking for the Obama campaign to make sure all the known Obama supporters in my area get out there and vote!

I was talking to my mom on the phone I think it was Saturday. Anyway, some woman knocked on the door making sure that Obama supporters get out and vote. My mom has gotten these knocks before and always had to say that she can''t because she''s a resident but this year she got so excited to tell the lady she voted. She wanted to show her the sticker she and my brother got for voting and giving her names of other houses to go knock, offering her coffee and water, showing her family pictures. Meanwhile I''m on the phone yelling ''MOOOMMMMM Leave the lady alone!!! She has a job to do!!! Heeellloooo''

So be aware of those crazy people you might run into

I got to go out in West Philadelphia with another woman and we must have hung up 150 signs. We got a few questions about where the polling place and a lot of people thanked us for doing what we were doing. I must have walked a few miles covering the large amount of addresses they gave us. I decided to come home for a little bit to make sure that I got some work done but I will go back later once people get home from work to do the final push.

On a sad note when I came home there was a hanger on my own front door. I looked at the polling place address on the back and IT WAS THE WRONG ADDRESS!!! They had told me to go down to the nearest middle school when my polling place is almost right next to me. I went down to my polling place to speak to the Obama volunteer there and showed it to her. She called the district campaign manager. While she was on the phone I checked the hanger that was on a house across the street from the polling place entrance and IT HAD THE WRONG ADDRESS TOO but a different wrong address...

Hopefully will be directed to the correct polling place if they go to the wrong one.

Good news! I''m sitting in my living room and I just got a new door hanger with the CORRECT polling location written on it! Glad they corrected their mistake.
