hy guys bought some rough material in mexico in a serpintine mine ,they didnt know what the material was
got it cut and it turned out to be demantoid garnets
all around 0.6 ct0.7 ct
lime green with strong red flashes
some green yellowish with strong red flashes
whats the rarety and value of that kind of materiel
and ever heard of it comming out of mexico?

Yes actually, there is mention of this in Sinkankas, Vol 3, PP176-77, and reported in G&G, Fall ''94, p. 194.

This material came from near Hermosillo, Sonora, and was classified as the demantoid variety of andradite. Very limited amount of material - do you have a new find?!
