Hi, with the help of several ppl from this forum I finally purchased an e-ring. I originally placed my order on Sept 21st and 3 weeks were given for the delivery of the ring. Then I realized I needed a different size (about 5 days later) Ok my bad.. they moved the shipping date... So I started to plan accordingly... on Oct 19 I sent an email asking if everything was on track with the order and they replied that delivery was still the planned date (Oct 26)... So I continued with my plans. Yesterday I recevied an email saying that the supplier is asking for more time and that the new delivery date is Nov 2nd. I actually made plans for Nov 3rd and if I receive the ring on Nov 2nd I wont be able to even have someone look at the ring before I need it. I do not want to push them for the original date as they have implied that the quality of the final product depends on this. I do not know how to respond to the email... on one side I really do not want to rush them into delivering the ring as I do have now high expectations for the quality of the ring, but on the other side I think they should know that they do put me on a tight spot... I havent had my coffee and weeks been tough.. am I making a big deal out of nothing?

Thanks!!!

Can''t you have an appraiser look at it after you propose? I mean you are just proposing right after you get the ring (sounds like it to me) so what is another day to get an official report ? I think you should be ok, just breathe, really everything will be OK and you can have it looked at after your proposal, and see if you can take your new fiance to see the process, dunno just a thought.

I agree with D&T. You can have it appraised after you propose. And let her be a part of that process. She will most likely enjoy the attention to her new ring and she can learn about her new baby. I''m assuming the vendor you purchased from has a return policy with a certain number of days to return so if you set up the appraisal now to be within that time frame you should be fine. It will be ok.

You guys are right, I just need to check if I am still on time to get that done after my trip... No coffee and a tough week are not a good convination :-)

Thanks!
