it looks very dark
IMHO most around these parts prefer a lighter blue although the jewellery shops here are full of very dark stones

Is there a huge crack down the middle of the stone, or is it just a very bad scratch? To be 100% honest with you I wouldn't consider buying it all. Sorry.

Thank you for ur answer, yes it’s an inclusion in the middle, but you see it just under strong lighting and zoom, in normal conditions the stone it’s dark, you can check the videos in drive.
I got it for a very cheap price, so i am trying to make little money with it.
It’s still Very rare big sapphire, the problem for me is not the color but this big inclusion in the middle, i didn’t thought it was that big

I voted $100/ct, and honestly, I think that would be generous. Pros: Large, no treatment, certified. Cons: So dark that it is nearly black/opaque, and then there's the clarity issue with a very significant, high-relief, likely iron, fracture down the length of the stone... lots of silk, lots of zoning. I've seen worse, but this is definitely a "commercial" quality stone. I suspect you were prepared for this type of response, so I trust I haven't hurt your feelings. I may not love the stone, but I do love your profile pic! :)

I'm in the "would not buy" camp as well. So if you're asking me about price per carat... 0. Sorry.

To start, that's a massive surface reaching fracture that is certainly affecting the durability of the stone. Who knows if it will survive being set without shattering in two.

The colour is so dark is practically non existent. And with the clarity the way it is, you wonder why the stone was faceted instead of being polished into a cab.

Yes but lighter, are much more expensive.

And there's a reason for that. People want sapphires because of the pretty colour. If the pretty colour doesn't exist, who cares that it's a sapphire.

I think maybe $300 for the whole stone if you find a customer who will collect it as a specimen (or buy it as a present for a child who loves stones). It has a huge crack and can’t be used as jewellery.

Thank you guys, I am in eu, the seller (not privat Person) is the Eu, so I still have the right to send it back and get my money.
So I will Pay, may be 100 euro ( shipping etc) but hey I thank all of u

It’s a no from me.
That inclusion is surface reaching and traverses most of the stone. The risk of “shearing” ie breaking apart is a risk I wouldn’t take.
Aside from that it is too dark, it will look black in most lighting and that’s not desirable in a sapphire.
Yes, it’s large, yes it’s cheap but you get what you pay more.

Looks only black to me and the stone is to flat. When u want a deep blue stone than u need a perfect proportinal cut.
Deep blue sapphire has the best color under indoor light white/blue light imo.
Where the stone light stone has a big window. Dont buy it

Spend the money to send it back and forget about it, that’s what I would do.

It’s big, yes, so are many rocks you find when going for a walk

Is it bad I don’t think it’s that big?

I mean it’s not small but OP there are bigger gems out there. It’s big but not that big…………

Im sorry i dont saw the super big inclusion outdoor on my phone. Absolutely no go...
Color looks a bit lighter than outdoor on my phone, but Inclusion is super big and looks like it cut the stone in 2 parts. Exellent clarity u need in very very dark stones, otherwise u will see 1-5facetts blings and the rest is black.
Small 1ct stone with perfect cut looks 10000 times better than a 10ct stone with bad cut or clarity or both like this stone has. Buy smaller Sapphire or Spinel. Spinel gives bigger stones over 2 or 3ct for 1k or cheaper per ct.

I did not vote as I would not spend a penny on this stone as it is way too dark!

I might as well spend far less on a faceted Obsidian!
