I''ve pretty much decided at this point that I want a center sapphire stone for my upgrade. I looked around at faycullen and even emailed them asking if they could do a setting they have in white gold instead of platinum. They got back with me SUPER fast which was great. Looks like they could do the ring in my budget but I''m not ready to commit. It''s an art deco ring but looking at the close up shots some of the bezel and millgrain work looks a little wonky. I''m wondering if it''s just shadows on the ring? Here it is...

I also really like this one from there, although I''d prefer a darker sapphire... http://www.faycullen.com/engagement_rings/800/e303r3sd.html

And then I found this one from Knox... http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=275&rn=1310&action=show_detail

DH likes the first one the best. His least favorite is the one from Knox but I love how it sparkles!

I''m wondering however, with each of these what they''d look like with bands. I so wish I had access to big stores where I could actually try these things on!

And now I''m sort of thinking I might want a cushion cut or asscher. I''ve been lusting after Jeff White''s asscher''s and I have no idea what they cost but I''m guessing they are probably out of my price range.

Here''s what I''m looking for:
-feminine/delicate look
-bezel center sapphire with halo
-something that I could stack a couple bands with eventually. I actually LIKE the gap that comes when you combine bands with other rings so that''s not a concern

Does anyone have suggestions for me other than the rings I''ve posted?

Thanks Dani! I like that first one, is it princess cut? Today I''m leaning towards cushion or oval. Of course, that could change tomorrow.

I was looking around ajsgems and found some fairly inexpensive sapphires that I liked. I guess I just need to choose on!

Although then I found this and I love it! Not sure if I would do it with a diamond center or maybe sapphire center and see if I could do the halo in all diamond. I wonder if that company will sell just the setting?

Upgrade! I have been staring at that ring for over a year and a half! I wanted it sooooo badly for an e-ring, but it was not meant to be. Isn''t it gorgeous? The details are amazing. My DH wanted me to have something more indestructible (his words) but I have that lovely ring bookmarked to this day. You can have them send it to you for perusal... I think the price is pretty darn good. They have some great sapphires on that site as well. Plus their thin bands are very nice, I tried them on and the milgrain/engraving was done by leprechauns or someone of that
size. Oh it is such a lovely ring
